mmm the armor substract its a good idea... btw, i dont undestand if you understood me XD... the strength is add to damage, the formula is this:
Physical Damage: Strength + (skill) Melee weapon + the weapon (sword, axe, etc)
or you are saying to eliminate the Skill in damage and just left:
Damage = Str + Weapon?
And then if i change the atack formula (Attack = 1d10 + Dex) to add skill (Atack = 1d10 +dex +skill)... i think that the D10 is going to lose is strength. So there are 3 other posibilites:
1.- Attack = 1d12 + Dex +skill
2.- Atack = 2d8 +dex +skill
3.- Atack = 1d20 +dex +skill
and for dodge it can be:
Atack = 1d12 + Agi + Reflex (skill)... etc etc

You're right, any number on a d20 has a 5% of coming out, too chancy... I like the sys you're using. IMVHO: have -armor- subtract from damage, not Constitution! And I'd add Weapon Skill to attack or parry, and Strength to damage, but that's just me! ^___^
